Features
1stsend does one thing: it gets your Amazon orders shipped directly to your customers. Each feature below explains what it does, which Amazon data it relies on, and why.
1. Order import
Orders awaiting shipment are synchronised automatically from the Amazon UK seller account you have authorised, and appear in your 1stsend client portal ready for fulfilment.
Amazon data used: order ID, order and ship-by dates, items and quantities, requested shipping service, recipient name, shipping address and phone number.
Why: to know what needs to be shipped, to whom and by when.
2. Shipping label generation
For each order we purchase a shipping label for the selected delivery service through the Amazon Shipping API. Labels are printed in our warehouse and attached to the parcel.
Amazon data used: recipient name, shipping address and phone number; order ID.
Why: the label must show the delivery address, and the delivery carrier needs it to deliver the parcel.
3. Shipping service selection & collections
We choose from the delivery services available through the Amazon Shipping API for each parcel — standard, tracked, signature and next-day — so that it arrives within the delivery promise shown to your buyer, and book collections from our warehouse.
Amazon data used: delivery postcode, ship-by and deliver-by dates, requested shipping service.
Why: to pick a service that meets Amazon's delivery promise.
4. Warehouse fulfilment
Our warehouse management system handles receiving and storing your stock, then picking, packing and dispatching each Amazon order.
Amazon data used: items and quantities; the shipping label carries the recipient's name and address.
Why: to pack the right items and hand the parcel to the carrier.
5. Tracking & shipment confirmation
When a parcel is dispatched, its tracking number and shipment confirmation are sent back to Amazon automatically, and delivery status updates are shown in your portal.
Amazon data used: order ID; we send Amazon the tracking number, service and ship date.
Why: Amazon requires shipment confirmation, and your buyer uses the tracking to follow the delivery.
6. Reporting
Reports on dispatch times, shipping costs and exceptions such as delayed or returned parcels help you keep your Amazon performance metrics healthy.
Amazon data used: order ID, dates, shipping service and cost.
Why: to measure shipping performance. Buyer personal information is not needed for reporting.
What 1stsend does not do
1stsend is a shipping and fulfilment service. To keep the data we handle to a minimum, we do not offer:
- Marketing, advertising or any other contact with your buyers.
- Repricing, listings management or buyer messaging.
- Tax calculation or invoicing on your behalf.
- Any use of Amazon data other than shipping the order it belongs to.
